About Me: John Spalding is senior marketing manager at Globe Pequot Press. In his 18 years in books and magazines, John has worked as a senior publicist at Harper San Francisco, managing editor at Santa Barbara Magazine, and a columnist at Beliefnet.com. He has written for the Los Angeles Times, Maxim, The Week, Commonweal, Books & Culture, and Publishers Weekly, among other publications, and he is the founding editor of SoMAreview.com, which the Times of London named "one of the 30 most influential religion blogs." His first book, A Pilgrim's Digress: My Perilous, Fumbling Quest for the Celestial City, was published by Harmony Books in 2003.
